Service Designer

32 - 40 hours · Amsterdam · €45-65k annually

How can we improve the designs so that patients of all walks of life can easily navigate our app? It’s all in a day’s work. That makes for a fluid setting that inspires you to adopt an iterative, hypothesis-driven approach. 

 

As our Service Designer 

  • Push the service perspective, ensuring that the Quin end-to-end experience is coherent and aligned across physical and digital touchpoints, as well as the transitions between touchpoints. 
  • Comfortable with strategic design canvases such as business model kits, jobs-to-be-done, value proposition canvases, service blueprints, service ecology maps, and more. 
  • Convert Quin's business needs and user insights to valuable service propositions and come up with product requirements needed for the desired service proposition. 
  • Design meaningful service experiences for both Quin’s customers (patients) and organisational benefits (Quin and Quin Doctors). 

You assume responsibility for all service design endeavours. Given our transition from a scale-up to a product-led organisation, this calls for user research, making rapid prototypes as well as carrying out experiments to test hypotheses and service concepts to maximise your impact.  

Apply human-centred design principles from concept to implementation in a multidisciplinary environment In scope. Primarily be responsible for identifying and defining service propositions for sustainable business models, and act as bridge between the business and end-users of Quin. All yours, too.  

As is passionately promoting your vision to a diverse group of stakeholders, ranging from developers, UI/UX, copywriters, marketeers to product owners. But rest assured, we have your back, and you can always tap into the insights of your peers: people who’ve been around the Design chapter of up to 15 people (UX, UI and service) and will gladly help you out.

How do you make us better? 

If you are a Service Designer with:  

  • You have 3+ years of relevant experience and a solid track record of Strategy-driven innovation. Your title may have been Service designer, Strategist, Design strategist, Business Designer -or something else- 
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your skills in Service design and direct impact on product and service strategies. 
  • Knowledge of Service Design standards in Healthcare or the medical industry is a plus. 
  • You trust the design process and design thinking forms the basis of your work. You have a positive problem-framing attitude. 
  • You can prepare and facilitate workshops in which you manage group dynamics to achieve the best outcome. 

Finally, you have strong active-listening skills and can put things in perspective. You have experience collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to translate design challenges into creative design solutions, you’re feeling comfortable with ambiguity and working in a fast-paced environment, experienced working with deadlines, keeping stakeholders aligned, self-starter with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude, equally comfortable to lead and to follow. 

Last, but not least, you have strong communication skills. You will need to be comfortable explaining your design process, documenting details and presenting your work in English. Speaking Dutch is a plus but not a must.
