Help us build the future of healthcare

Hello, we are Quin's product tech team of over 100 engineers. A community with a clear purpose: to develop a clean and scalable platform that propels healthcare into the 22nd century.

Personalized, data-driven healthcare for all. That’s Quin’s mission. How do we set out to achieve it? By developing a software product that quickly and accurately spots potential health issues and grants people instant access to medical advice. For full transparency and efficiency, all healthcare providers involved in making the diagnoses will have access to the same patient data, from a general practitioners to medical specialists.

As our Data Protection Officer:

You will become part of the Privacy & Security Team and work closely together with the Legal, Compliance, Procurement, Product, and Security teams. You will take part in processing highly sensitive data, which comes with strategic and operational challenges, ensuring data flows unimpeded, staying abreast of future privacy regulations, and building up Quin’s data protection strategy.
We invite you to make healthcare simpler, faster, and safer - for everyone.

  • Act as the first point of contact for ‘all things privacy’, both in- and externally, including liaising with the Quin product organization, and patient organizations as well at the C-level;
  • Further instill and maintain a privacy-conscious mindset within the business. For instance, by developing training programs, presentations, and/or by monitoring and optimizing procedures;
  • Ensure company policies fully comply with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and codes of practice, e.g., by constantly rethinking and improving privacy compliance and data protection frameworks and ensure these policies are implemented and adhered to;
  • Act as the contact point for the supervisory authority on issues relating to processing;
  • Monitor compliance by performing audits, mitigating risks, and sharing lessons learned; and
  • Work closely with the Legal, Compliance, and procurement teams, the product team as well as other key counterparts, such as our external privacy advisors, the development community, and the Board.

As a Data Protection Officer, you assume responsibility for all Data Privacy endeavors. Given our transition from a scale-up to a product-led organization, this calls for Proactiveness as well as Open Communication so you need to leverage all of your experience and skills to maximize your impact.

As a Data Privacy Officer, you report to our Chief Technical Officer and work in tandem with the Legal, Compliance, Product, and Security teams.

How do you make us better?

If you are a Data Protection Officer with:

  • A relevant Master’s degree (if in law, that is a plus), supplemented with 5+ years of privacy-related experience and (preferably) certifications that attest to your skills, e.g., CIPP/C and/or CIPP/E;
  • Experience with privacy and compliance processes, preferably in healthcare settings;
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable privacy laws and regulations (GDPR is a must);
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills: executing multiple projects concurrently in a highly fluid work environment is one of your fortes;
  • An ability to discuss issues with people at all organizational levels, including cross-departmental teams and management;
  • You’re a natural-born independent consultant: you can make your own decisions and help others understand the rationale behind them
  • Dutch speaker preferably
  • Experience in a scale-up environment is a bonus.
