Analytics Engineer

32 - 40 hours - €450K to €65K gross annual - Amsterdam (hybride)

Hello, we are Quin's product team of over a 100 engineers. A community with a clear purpose: to develop clean and scalable apps that propels healthcare into the 22nd century.

Together with medical professionals (At Quin, there’s always a doctor in the room!), commercial professionals, developers, product managers and BI-specialists, you work in an environment where the (patient) stakes are high and the roadmap is ambitious! If you feel at home in a setting where autonomy is a given and collaboratating with your peers appeals to you, you are welcome to join the team!

As our Analytics Engineer

Your priority is to gain a deep understanding of how data can support Quin and provide quality data products that best fit the need and skill set of our end users.

The Data Platform team consists of 4 colleagues with 2 data engineers, an analytics engineer and a product owner. We are the driving force behind all Analytical initiatives deployed within Quin. Whether it be by providing our BI team with data for their Dashboards, facilitating an efficient flow of data throughout the organisation or taking ownership of initiatives to improve data-driven decision making.

Even though each team member has its own focus areas, we believe that all team members should have a good understanding of all activities involved while making data available. This way we can challenge each other and provide feedback from different vantage points

  • Drive the adoption of data-driven decision making by creating and maintaining easy-to-consume datasets and data models - you will not be creating the dashboards yourself
  • Build long term relationships with consumers of data by managing expectations, implementing quality controls and gaining a deep understanding of the Business processes and priorities
  • Provide transparency on the data artefacts present in the organisation by stimulating the adoption of our Data Catalogue
  • Closely work together with our Data Engineers and Software developers to assure the necessary functional knowledge is present to create quality, stable and relevant data pipelines.

A purpose worth investing in! Of note: at Quin, pioneering is the name of the game. Nothing is set in stone yet, so conceptual prowess and a forward-thinking mindset are welcome.

Within the Data Platform Team we work with the following technologies:

How do you make us better?

If you are a Analytics Engineer with good experience working with:

  • Data Modelling (at least 2 yrs) - you understand how to model data so that it can be easily consumed in visualisaton tools like Power BI.
  • The ability to materialise Data Models by creating ETL/ELT processes with the use of SQL and/or Python.
  • A strong communicator who enjoys gaining a deep understanding of Business Processes both by forming relationships and diving into the data
  • Strong desire to improve the status quo, to achieve results, and to make an impact for your customers. You own the code and the technical solution, and this is normal for you.
  • Preferred: Experience with GIT and Power BI
  • and last, but not least:

You feel comfortable learning, sharing, and gaining a different set of skills. And you are not overwhelmed when colleagues challenge the status quo and make suggestions. You have strong verbal and written communication skills.

...then this job is right for you!
